Kwadwo Asamoah will miss Ghana’s final two qualifying matches against Uganda and Togo in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers this month with a knee injury, his Italian club Juventus have confirmed.

The Italian outfit has revealed the 25-year-old will be out  for a precautionary period of 15 days in order to fully recover from the injury he sustained during last Saturday’s Serie A meeting with Empoli.

The Ghanaian international featured in Tuesday's UEFA Chapions League  win against Olympiacos but continued inflammation in his knee means he will be rested over the next couple of weeks.

The news will be massive blow to caretaker coach Maxwell Konadu who was hoping to have the influential midfielder in his squad ahead of the trip to Kampala and will have to look for other options as he prepares to name his squad by the close of the week.

The Black Stars will travel to Kampala for the crucial qualifier against the Cranes on November 15 before they battle the Hawks of Togo in the final qualifying game at home four days later.

The setback has ended his romance in the qualifying campaign and put the West African country in  an anxious mood as they seek for his replacement.

Asamoah is hugely regarded as the most talented player in the current Black Stars and hailed for his creative force in the heart of the team.

His absence could pave the way for other emerging talents to gatecrash the squad.

It is however unclear if the Ghana FA will demand for his release for further medical checks to be done on him.
