Ghana will wear this red jersey for away matches at the 2014 World Cup

A uniquely designed Ghana away jersey for the 2014 World Cup has been leaked showing the Black Stars maintaining the Ghanaian culture in its apparel for the global competition, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal.

The red jersey which will serve as the Black Stars away jersey has been leaked months before the manufacturers Puma unveil it.

But the product will not disappoint Ghana fans as the jersey shows some of Ghana’s culture including the kente design on the sleeves of the jersey.

Completely different from what GHANAsoccernet.com, Ghana’s leading football news outfit exclusively revealed of the Black Stars home jersey for 2014 some weeks ago, the Kente cloth design is now found on the sleeve instead the neck area in the home design.

The new Black Stars away jersey will feature a saturated red called Chili Pepper and will be also unveiled in early 2014, featuring the same template as the home shirt.

The unique design around the sleeve is inspired by the Kente cloth design, which is typical for Ghana.

It is characterized by multicolored patterns of bright colors, geometric shapes, and dazzling. Puma, who always create special designs for the African teams.

A watermark of ‘GHANA … BLACK STARS’ can also be seen in the new red jersey to be worn by the country’s national team.

The away Shirt comes in bright red and features a large front graphic honouring the ‘Black Stars’.

“Including ‘Black Stars’ instead of just leaving it plain is pretty cool and modern yet symbolic,” an observer said.

Puma, who always create special designs for the African teams, included the special Kente design on the new Ghana 2014 home kit by printing it next to the collar and on the collar as well as the sleeve cuffs.

Ghana 2014 World Cup Kits will be presented in early 2014.

typically african, best gh jersey ever for sure

  3. spellBOUND says:

i really like this one. the neck on the home white kit is truly ugly, but this red one is nice.

  4. GHANSON says:

    This one is awesome..hands down!
It will surely bring us good luck.. the players must feel comfortable in their attire and I think this jersey is satisfying enough.
    Go Ghana!!!

  5. Quincy among EA Sports 5star skill players says:

If PUMA wants Ghanaians to buy the Jerseys, they have to bring the yellow one back. They have tried to push the white one on us and our authorities have kept quiet. If they want to make money, bring back the yellow jerseys and the stadia in Brazil will be covered in Red Gold Green to match it

    • payne says:

nobody is pushing nothng on anybody…stop the mental slavery and be wiser

    • Edmund says:

I completely agree with Quincy, all most all football country still maintain their national which is uniquely design as replica of their national flag, why Ghana, why hiding our identity, do we feel shy of whom we are, why do our officials throw away beloved yellow jersey which truly, uniquely and lovely symbolize our beloved mother land, why are we moving from good to bad why, don’t our conscience judge us…. Ghanaian’s needs back their yellow jersey….

  6. FABU THE BEST & GREATEST says:

Quincy, we never had yellow as our jersey colour. It was Gold colour from the gold in the national flag. Let the youth learn that the national colors are red, gold and green but never yellow. I support the bringing back of the yellow colour as the home colour. The red should be maintained as the away jersey. It evokes fear. Great teams, the world over, wear red: Kotoko, Liverpool, Man U, Bayern Munich etc

    • Capo di Capi says:

The various supporters union must also be educated about that. My heart bleeds when I see them in the red, yellow and green colous. They don’t present the country well in their support of the national team.

  7. askantwi says:

    It doesn’t have a collar.

  8. blz-kwame says:

Puma makes these ugly jerseys for African countries and makes the ones with quality and better designes for SOUTH American and european countries. Its time there is an equality becuz if you dont want to give the same treatment then why sign contract with them.

  9. issac amoah says:

As a black person a bright color looks very beautiful on us . Bright color makes us look more colorful so mentally give us confidante. We Ghanaians have to understand the flag colors and be proud of the bright colors in our jersey .I hate that jersey. Bring white and Ghana flag as a stripe across. gold with flag stripe across. green with flag across. The players will be very proud to play for what they are wearing. when they score a goal they can show the whole world what it meant to wear that jersey. PROUD GHANAIAN PEOPLE.

  10. yawa says:

so where are our beautiful red, gold and green with the black star? i don’t blame puma cos the players don’t even know how to sing the national anthem, and the question is where and when did we had white in our national colours ?. most people say Ghana is flying the national colours. what are the colurs its the white? yawa……………..

  11. kofi appiah says:

jerseys does not play or win matches, think about coming out with better team and stop gossiping about jersey
