Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah has undergone medical at German Bundesliga side TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, MTNFootball.com can exclusively reveal.
The 21-year-old was flown to Hoffenheim on Wednesday on a private jet owned by the club president
MTNFootball.com understands the Villagers will pay Palermo 2.5 million Euros and will be offered a four-and-half-year contract.
Acquah, who was on loan at Italian Serie A side Parma, is expected to make debut against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
The hard-tackling midfielder has been identified as one of the key players to improve the faltering fortunes of the club.
Hoffenheim finished in the relegation play-off zone in 16th place after the first round of the season.
