Breaking News: Ghana League set to start as court dismisses King Faisal's injunction on GFA congress
Alhaji Grunsah has suffered another defeat in his quest to stop the Ghana league

Ghana's top-flight league is set to start after an Accra Human Rights Court ruled on Monday that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) should go ahead to schedule its annual congress to fix a start date of the First Capital Plus Premier League competition.

The court dismissed King Faisal Football Club's injunction seeking to prevent the GFA from organising the congress which will formally usher in the new season and start the competition.

The ruling by the court paves the way for the federation to organise its top-flight and second tier competitions which have been delayed because of the court action taken by King Faisal to prevent the start of the league.

The news comes as a big relief for clubs up and down the country who are desperate for the start of the league which has been delayed for over three months because of the legal action started by King Faisal.

The GFA is expected to give notice for the start of congress which will pave way for the league fixtures and matches in both the top-flight and second tiers to be announced.
