English club Everton have sealed the loan move for Ghana winger Christian Atsu after convincing Chelsea he will be given enough regular first team action, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The 22-year-old's move had been put on hold over Chelsea's doubts he will be given enough first team opportunities to help his progress.

The Stamford Bridge outfit were therefore looking at other alternatives until they got the guarantee they wanted from Everton boss Roberto Martinez.

Atsu will be moving to the blue half of Merseyside on a season-long loan deal.

He will be joining Romelo Lukaku who completed a permanent move from Chelsea last week.

Details of Atsu's loan deal - especially with clauses of how many games he is expected to play and whether Chelsea reserves a right of a January recall - are yet to be made public.

But the Ghana international will be thrilled by the prospect of getting a chance to prove himself in one of the best leagues in Europe.

The former Porto man joined Chelsea last summer on a reported five-year deal but was immediately loaned out to Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem alongside a host of other Chelsea youngsters.
