Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan scored all the three goals for Al Ain as he destroyed Dubai 3-0 on Thursday night to win the UAE Pro League title with for matches remaining.

The Black Stars skipper, who grabbed his second hat-trick of the season on the night with two goals after the break foll0wing his opening goal in the 37th minute.

Al Ain’s points total of 58, with a lead of 16 points and just four games left, makes it mathematically impossible for 2nd-placed Al Ahli to catch them which makes them the league winners.

Gyan's massive heroics makes Al Ain the first UAE side to win back-to-back titles in the professional era.

He has now scored 28 goals in just 20 league games this season and has exactly 50 in the Pro League since arriving in the Garden City 19 months ago.

Gyan's powerful header in the 37th minute opened the scoring and doubled Al Ain's lead in the 56th minute through another header.

He sealed the emphatic victory in the 75th minute to complete his hat-trick on the night that gave his side their second successive league title.

Mohamed Abdulrahman was involved in the opener as he played the ball back to Ahmed Al Shamisi whose cross was headed home by Gyan in-between two markers.

The hosts did double their lead 10 minutes into the second half as Gyan found room in the box to head home another cross from the left.

Al Ain’s 11th Pro League title was now secure and with the home fans keen to remind everyone of that fact, the game from this point on became a procession.

Gyan was denied a hat-trick on the hour mark but would have to wait just 15 minutes to notch his 28th Pro League goal of an incredible season.

Yousif Mohamed Yousif was at fault for Dubai as he allowed a punt forward to sail over his head and the Ghana international was in no mood to spare his blushes as he lashed past Ali from 15 yards.

The hat-trick hero was then substituted in the 80th minute to a standing ovation, safe in the knowledge that his impressive goal haul played a large part in Al Ain successfully retaining their title of Champions of the Etisalat Pro League.

Gyan's 28 goals this season was hugely instrumental in their title success, further establishing him as the UAE's best player and top scorer.

The Ghanaian has taken his goals tally in the UAE to 50 after scoring 22 goals in the top-flight last season.

What makes Gyan's acheivement even more remarkable is that he missed six weeks of league action while he was away at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Yet former Bundesliga top-scorer Grafite has still been unable to catch up with Gyan with four matches remaining.

"Everyone in Al Ain has been so good to me. I'm so so happy today," Asamoah Gyan said said after his heroics that sent Al Ain supporters into ecstasy.
