AC Milan have confirmed Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has been transferred to German side Schalke 04.
The club announced on its official website on Friday: “A.C. Milan wishes to communicate that Kevin Prince Boateng has been transferred to Schalke 04.”
The 26-year-old arrived in Gelsenkirchen on Friday morning to undergo a medical at the Veltins Arena.
Boateng played 100 matches for Milan and scored 17 goals after joining the club in 2010.
Boateng was contracted to the Rossoneris until 2015.
Despite featuring for Milan in the UEFA Champions League play-offs, the Ghana international is eligible to play for the Royal Blues in the Group stage.
