Tema Youth Director Wilfred Osei (Palma) says the heads of Ghana U20 duo Francis Narh and Derrick Mensah have been turned by a ‘dubious’ agent over their move to Club Africain.
The two players have declared they won’t honour their newly signed agreement with the Tunisian giants and are seeking an immediate return back to Ghana.
The Ghana U20 duo claim they have been led into signing contracts they do not understand as the agreements were in French.
They also claim the amount of monies they were promised before signing the contract have seen a significant depreciation in the contract proper.
But Tema Youth Director Wilfred Osei led the players into signing the contracts last week in claiming his innocence say his former players are being deceived by a dubious player agent.
“A lot of things have been said by these players which are simply not true,” the Ghana FA Executive Committee member told GHANAsoccernet.com.
“These players are being deceived by a dubious agent who abandoned us when we first got to Tunisia for six hours.
“I never sold any of the players beyond $300,000 as they claim.
“I also took time to explain to these players the terms of the contract to their understanding before signing the contracts.
“If they say they don’t understand the contract in French, the very simple thing is to have it translated to English for them to understand.
“How can I lead my own players into signing bad deals?
“I mean Mensah for instance after signing the contract granted an interview to Happy FM where he said he was happy to have secured the move to the Tunisian club.
“And now these boys are dragging my name in the mud, my hard won reputation but God is the only judge.”
