The cat has finally been let out of the bag! The
reason why ace-presenter, Nana Bobie Ansah was dismissed from the services of
Multimedia Group Ltd as a presenter with Asempa
FM has been revealed.

Yesterday morning, the Deputy Director of
Communication of the NPP, Mr. John Boadu, speaking on OK FM, an Accra-based radio
station revealed that Bobie was
dismissed to please NPP flag-bearer, Nana Akufo-Addo.
Mr. Boadu said if Bobie is bitter as a result of his
dismissal without reason, then he should imagine how Akufo-Addo feels when
Bobie deals with topics that are no palatable to Akufo-Addo.
The revelation has come as a shock to many
Ghanaians, especially because the NPP has often claimed to be the proponents of
free speech and press freedom. Nana Akufo-Addo, in particular, has touted as
one of his achievements the repeal of the criminal libel laws while he was
Attorney-General of Ghana.

Bobie has been in the news since Friday when he went
ballistic on “Thank God Is Friday (TGIF)” a TV show hosted by Kweku Sintim
Misa. During the show, Bobie made several startling revelations especially that
his dismissal was at the behest of the NPP which paid money to some staffers of
Multimedia to get them instigate the dismissal of Bobie.

The presenter also revealed that John Boadu is a
mole in the Akufo-Addo campaign team and is working tirelessly to ensure that
the NPP flag-bearer loses this December elections.
According to him, Boadu is the source of many
leakages from the NPP to the press and the NDC. It is for this reason, he says,
that he (Boadu) does not get on well with NPP MP for Manhyia, Mathew Opoku
Prempeh.
Curiously, TGIF is repeated every Sunday afternoon
but for the first time, the station failed to repeat the show which was missed
by many. Accusing fingers are being pointed at Haruna Alhassan, General-Manager
of Metro TV, a known NPP activist as the one who stopped to re-broadcast of the
show to save the NPP from shame.
Bobie has however been on the onslaught since then
in his search for the reason why he was dismissed. Speaking to Alhassan
Suyuhini on Monday, he dropped another bombshell, that the board chairman of Multimedia
is an NPP activist who is currently helping raise funds for Nana Addo in
Europe.
Sources close to Bobie said he has more bombshells
to drop. It is not known whether the current revelation that he was sacked to
please Akufo-Addo will abate his anger.
