Kevin Boateng was shown the red card on Sunday

AC Milan defender Djamel Mesbah has described Kevin Boateng’s red card against Udinese as ‘scandal’.

The Ghanaian was sent off with eight minutes left for two bookable offencesafter his clash with Roberto Pereyra.

“The dismissal of Boateng was scandalous,” the defender told Milan Channel after the 2-1 loss at the Stadio Friuli.

“I think that the referee knows that he got that one wrong. I was there and it was a normal tackle from Boateng – it wasn’t a sending off.”
