Boateng goal wins Italian Super Cup for Milan

Boateng celebrates goal with teammates

Kevin Prince-Boateng got one over his compatriot Sulley Muntari by helping AC Milan beat Inter to clinch the 2011 Italian Super Cup on Saturday.

Boateng scored the winner in the 69th minute after Zlatan Ibrahimovic pulled the Rosseneri level following Wesley Snejder’s go-ahead goal for Inter in the 22nd minute.

The match-winner however made way in the 82nd minute for Luc Castaignos while Muntari remained on the Inter bench for the entire duration of the game.

The feat ensured last season’s Serie-A champions won the first piece of silverware of the 2011/2012 season and also represents the first Supercoppa Italiana win for Milan since 2004.

Ah!…I tot dis guy is nursing his injury. Wow, hw humans can behave. Ba I tot gh. Soccernet said muntari is in form n scoring in pre-season training, y not @ least getting 15min play. Lol

    • nyp says:

muntari played against man city 4 days ago, he was superb in the midfield position, and he played the full 90 minutes @the dublin cup and yeah i thought the same about kpb, i thought he was injured, he wont get far with these lies.

  3. yeah man says:

i watched the match at the Bird Nest stadium in Beijing. Boateng to me was the Man of the match. He really Played well in the mid field and his passes were awesome. I wasnt all that Happy cos Muntari was not playing. It was my wish to have seen them playing together.

  4. musah fifa says:

why are you comparing Kevin Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari? Ghanasoccernet you know nothing than trying to bring confusion on our own players, you better stop that because is not good, if Ac Milan beat Inter Milan and KPB score the winning goal and Muntari did not play and so what? what do you achieve from that?

    • Topsey says:

Why are you getting all exited? They said Muntari didnt come of the sub bench big deal?
Muntari has been a bench warmer for some time at Inter and unfortunately your boyfriend will be sitting there for some time lol.

He doesnt have enough ability or consistency to be playing for a club like Inter FACE FACTS.

Muntari like most players in the Black Stars, the main part of their careers are with Ghana but they sit on bench in Europe to collect cheque.

    • edward says:

why are you talking like that, what is the confusion coming from. the man just spoke plain english don’t twist it, is foothball somebody has to winne,

  7. RICH says:

I am glad Muntari is on the bench. It shows the coach still have him in his plans. it also shows he is doing something good. With team like Inter, its very difficult to walk strait into the team from loan
