Ghana Premier League side Hearts of Oak claim injured defender Philip Boampong is making progress in the treatment.
The centre-back ruptured his right wrist ligaments early this season and underwent surgery in Accra last month.
“Boampong is back on course for a full recovery and we are all very pleased about this,” the medical team said.
“The player himself is delighted and he has begun to do light physios, which is good news. He will continue to work under the guidance of the medical team and the team for some period to regain his full strength.”
Boampong was member of Ghana’s Under-20 side that won the FIFA Under-20 World Championship in Egypt.
He is the younger brother of former Hearts defender Dan Coleman.

The dirty game he plays can’t lift Hearts up unless they (HEARTS) go for tour abroad as Kotoko do b4 they can also come up. We use meat to catch meat. Go for tour abroad Heart team!! Why ?
He is the commander in chief of rough play & bad tackles. No wonder most of his U20 colleagues are foreign based professionals & he is still loitering around locally.
We wish him well. We the phobians love and cherish him so much.
u see hw hepocarite, mischevious, ignorant some kotoko fans are. which defender plays rough than ohene brayah. allow the young guy to hve his peace
