Richmond Boakye-Yiadom in action for Sassuolo

Ghana youth striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom aided Sassuolo’s push for Serie A promotion by scoring the opener in their 2-0 victory over Crotone on Saturday in the Italian Serie B.

The 19-year-old goal poacher broke the deadlock after 63 minutes of pulsating action with a typical strikers’ finish.

The former Ghana U20 player was also involved in the act which ensured Simone Missiroli sealed the win for Sassuolo in the 78th minute.

The win has taken Sassuolo just a point within leaders Pescara.

Boakye-who is on loan from Genoa-has now scored a total of nine goals.
