Boakye-Yiadom: Juventus interest real

Richmond Boakye-Yiadom says reports linking him to Juventus are real

Striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom insists reports linking him with a move to Juventus are real and not just rumours.

The Italian champions have stepped up their interest for the 19-year-old after a solid display for Serie B side Sassuolo where he was on loan from Genoa.

The Old Lady are looking to acquire the full stake in the player but Genoa are reluctant in selling off the emerging star.

Talks are still ongoing and Boakye-Yiadom, who is currently on holidays, hopes his transfer issue will be sorted out quickly.

“The interest from Juventus is not just rumours,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“They (Juventus) are in discussion with my club and agents but Genoa are not willing to transfer the full stake they have in me to Juventus.

“But talks are still ongoing and hopefully it will be sorted out soon.”

Boakye-Yiadom despite an injury stricken season managed to score 12 goals for Sassuolo in the last campaign – three shot of his pre-season target of 15 goals.

I think Coach Akwesi Appiah should start to give this boy a chance rather than Adiyah, they have giving him too much opportunity and he is not proving it, i think in two years time this boy will be in position to pair with Asamoah Gyan or Jordan to lead our attack.
