Boakye defends Sassuolo loan move

Posted On Tuesday, 11th September 2012

Richmond Boakye-Yiadom says he has the best move to re-join on loan

Juventus striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom believes his loan move to Sassuolo will help his improve as a player.

The 18-year-old cannot be guaranteed playing time at the Juventus Stadium and has been farmed out to the Serie B side for more first team opportunities.

Boakye will be making a return to the club he helped to reach the semi-final of the promotional play-off last season.

“I took the best decision because I want to get more playing time. Taking the position of a senior player at Juve this season will be tough,” Boakye said.

“I am very confident of yet another successful season there and hopefully I will go back to Juve next season ready to take on full first team challenges,” he added.

Boakye signed for Juventus from Genoa this summer in a co-ownership deal.
