Bloemfontein Celtic hope to have talented Ghanaian midfielder and transfer target Obed Ansah in South Africa in time to play in the Old Mutual Mangaung Cup.
Siwelele have made contact with Ansah and want to take a closer look at him during the four-team event in Botshabelo on 31 July.
Ansah is out of contract with Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak.
“We’d like him to be here in time so we can take a look at him,” Celtic coach Clinton Larsen says.
“If he is as good as people say then Obed Ansah sounds like the kind of player we need to help us compete this season,” Larsen says.
Celtic will face Black Leopards, Ajax Cape Town and Moroka Swallows in the off-season tournament.
