Asante Kotoko defender Abeiku Ainooson claims FIFA President Joseph Sepp Blatter told him he wants to see him at the 2014 Brazil World Cup finals.

The centre-back revealed to GHANASoccernet.com that during the medal presentation at the just ended CHAN tournament, Blatter whispered to him he was looking forward to seeing him play at the World Cup.

Ainooson was named man of the match in that pulsating semi-final victory over West African rivals Nigeria.

“During the medal presentation as I walked through to pick up my medal I greeted a host of dignitaries but when I got to FIFA President he pulled me closer and whispered to me that he was impressed with my output and could have been named man of the match but for our lost,” Ainooson told GHANASoccernet.com

“For a young guy to die for his country like I did he is expecting to see me at the world.”

Ainossson joined Kotoko before the start of the season from New Edubiase United as a replacement for Rashid Sumaila who signed for Mamelodi Sundowns.
