Ghana international Solomon Asante will bid his late mother an emotional farewell in a solemn burial ceremony on Saturday, January 4, the player's close associate has confirmed to GHANAsoccernet.com. 

The TP Mazembe influential attacker will lay his deceased mother to rest in what is expected to be a colourful ceremony in Sefwi Wiawso.

A host of Ghana Football Association officials, Black Stars team-mates, as well as colleagues from TP Mazembe and journalists are expected to travel to the Western Region for the ceremony.

"The burial and funeral ceremony will take on place on January 4 in Sefwi Wiawso," Asante's close friend Joe Debrah told GHANAsoccernet.com.

Mother Monica Dankwaa passed away in Kumasi after battling with long illness.
