Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah insists the Black Stars will thrive against Uganda without suspended duo Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng.

The two ‘rebels’ are serving separate indefinite suspensions following a chaotic World Cup campaign in Brazil.

They have been frozen out of the national team following an indecent behavior in the Ghana camp which rocked the campaign of the African side.

Muntari in particular has been in fine shape for AC Milan, scoring a goal in their 3-1 win over Lazio over the weekend while Kevin Boateng is enduring a difficult spell at German side Schalke 04.

The two players will be missing in action when the Black Stars line up against the Cranes in the qualifiers for the 2015 African Cup of Nations and Kwesi Appiah remains confident about the chances of his team to excel without the duo.

"Kevin and Muntari are good players but we also have a lot of quality and some young ones who have truly matured and capable of serving as decent replacement. I will count on them to do the job," he said.

The Black Stars will hope to start the qualifying campaign on a positive note after a disastrous World Cup campaign.
