Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has set his schedule in full swing ahead of Wednesday’s friendly against Turkey as 14 players turned up on the first day of training.
According to the Ghana FA website, the 14 players present were put through their paces on their first day in Istanbul.
All the Europe-based players turned up for training with key players Emmanuel Agyemang Badu and Kwadwo Asamoah in attendance.
Goalkeeper Razak Braimah and Yusif Chibsah were the new players to train with the Black Stars for the first time while Adam Kwarasey and Daniel Opare return to the fold after some absence.
Africa-based duo of Solomon Asante and Harrison Afful also arrived for training while out-of-favour Porto winger Christian Atsu also trained.
Mahatma Otoo arrived from his Norway base as Mubarak Wakaso joined the team late as training was said to have lasted four about two hours.
Five players, who are yet to join the squad, are expected to join the team on Tuesday to train before the game is played on Wednesday.
Ghana’s squad suffered two withdrawals before the team’s first training session in Turkey as Albert Adomah and Emmanuel Banahene were pulled out due to varying reasons.
