Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris is delighted to have found his scoring boots in the Swedish top-flight.
Waris had gone three matches without scoring and he believes he has now recaptured his old form after Monday night’s performance.
The 20-year-old earned a penalty in the 87th minute before sealing the victory with a close range finish in the 98th minute in a 3-1 victory over GAIS.
“I’m delighted to have scored again and increased my tally to 14,” Waris told GHANASoccernet.com
“I want to win the goal the goal king award and this is also part of the work.”
He has been named in Kwesi Appiah’s squad for next month’s international friendly against China.
Waris leads the scorers chart with 14 goals two more than his closet challenger Viktor Prodell who plays for Åtvidaberg.
