Black Stars pond team manager Sabahn Quaye on birthday

Black Stars players taking turns to wish team manager Sabahn Quaye happy birthday

By Ameenu Shardow

The Black Stars were at their hilarious best as they ponded team manager Sabahn Quaye to mark his birthday.

The team resorted to throwing unharmful missiles and water at the ex Hearts of Oak technical team member after Tuesday’s training session in Port Elizabeth.

The Black Stars players sang a happy birthday song for Quaye after observing post-training prayers before launching the missiles at the team manager.

The players indeed took their turns to wish Sabahn a happy birthday in their own special way.

Midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu dished his last – after catching Quaye in a hot chase, the Udinese player brought his team manager down and gently pounded his belly with everyone else bursting into uncontrollable laughter.

Quaye’s birthday could prove to be a sign of good luck for the team ahead of their second group game at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations against Mali on Thursday.

Ghana needs a win to jump-start their campaign in South Africa following a a disappointing opening Group B game against DR Congo which ended in a 2-2 draw.

mr team manager tell the boys to wake up they are sleeping nd we are watching them

WHAT IS NEWS ABOUT THIS,INSTEAD OF THEM TO CONCENTRATE ON THE TOURNAMENT,LOOK AT WHAT THEY ARE DOING,IF THEY DONT REACH SEMI FINAL,THE WHOLE TEAM SHOULD BE HELD FOR CAUSING FINANCIAL LOST TO THE STATE,

    SQUADS
    STARTING 11…
    FATAU/ KWARASAY/ADJEI
    2..AFFUL/AKAMINKO/PAINSTIL
    3. WAKASSO /KISSI BOATENG
    4/5..JONATHAN MENSHA/AWAL/ BOYE/VORSAH/AKAMINKO
6..ANNAN/RABIU/DEREK BOATENG..(AKAMINKO/BOYE CAN BE USED AS ALSO)
    7..ATSU/ADOMAH/ASANTE
    8..BADU/KASA/RABIU/DEREK BOATENG
    9/10..YIADOM/CLOTTEY/GYAN
    11..KASA/WAKASSO

    COACHING TACTICS!
GYAN DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE CAPTAIN. GIVE THE CAPTAINSHIP TO BADU, KASA OR JONATHAN
SMALL LETTERED NAMES ON THE BACK OF OUR JERSEYS IS A NO NO…
AA SHOULD USE WAKASSO AS A LEFT BACK. AA MUST NEVER USE AFFUL AS A LEFT BACK, BUT ONLY A RIGHT BACK. AFTERALL, AFFUL HAS WON TROPHIES AS A
RIGH BACK WITH HIS CLUB. HIS EMPLOYERS PLAY HIM AT THE RIGHT BACK FOR A REASON. AKAMINKO CAN ALSO PLAY THE RIGHT BACK AND THE 6. ATSU SHOULD BE
MOVED TO THE 7. JONATHAN MENSAH IS THE DEFENCE MARSHALL AND MUST START ALL GAMES. PARTNER HIM WITH AWAL. THE MALIAN DEFENDERS ARE TALL AND BIG,
SO U NEED KASA, CLOTTEY, BADU, ADOMAH, ATSU, YIADOM TO INVADE AND USE SHORT, CRISP PASSESTO FRUSTRATE THEM UPFRONT…

if the players were doing wat i have been telling them to do like lifting metal. they would be faster, stronger and would have less
CATASTROPHIC INJURIES. SO FAR LOOK AT THE STRENGTH OF THE PLAYERS WHO ARE CURRENTLY INJURED IN CAMP..VORSAH, YIADOM, ANNAN..
    THEY ALL DONT LIFT WEIGHTS!
THE SCIENCE IS THERE TO SUPPORT WAT IM SUGGESTING, BUT WILL AFUOM COACH AA ADVISE THESE GUYS TO DO LIFT METAL SO THEY WONT BE
SUCEPTIBLE TO CATASTROPHIC INJURIES? NO….IF YOU ARE A PHYSICALLY FIT PLAYER. THE CHANCES OF YOU GETTING INJURED IS LESS.
YOU ALSO RECUPERATE FASTER FROM YOUR INJURIES AS WELL…MAKAA AKAAA AKAAAA..PPL EVEN INSULT ME ON GHWEB N GHSOCCERNET BCOS THEY
DONT UNDERSTAND MY POINT OF VIEW.
HW3, WHEN U LOOK AT BARCELONA. EACH PLAYER ON THE TEAM PLAYS BREAK AND PASS SOCCER. ONLY XABI AND MESSI DRIBBLE OR HOLD UNTO THE BALL.
EACH PLAYER PLAYS SIMPLE. BREAK AND PASS..2 TOUCHES, 3 AT MOST. THEY MOVE THE BALL BY PLAYING 2 TOUCH. NO PLAYER STANDS IDLE.
ALL THE PLAYERS R CONSTANTLY MOVIN AS THE PLAYERS MOVE THE BALL IN A TRIANGULAR FASHION WITH THEIR BREAK AND PASS STYLE. ITS ALL MECHANICS.
BARCELONA WILL NEVER OVERLAP A BALL FROM 7 TO 11..NEVER…
THEY DO 3 THINGS AT THE SAME TIME: PLAYERS R CONSTANTLY MOVING, PLAYING 2 TOUCHES, MOVING THE BALL IN A TRIANGULAR FASHION.
THIS MAKES THEIR OPPONENTS VERY FRUSTRATED, TIRED AND CHASING AFTER THE BALL. BEFORE THEIR OPPONENTS ARE AWARE,
MESSI HAS THE BALL AND IS ALREADY IN THE 18 YARD BOX. IF YOU ARE A DEFENDER AND ARE NOT SMART..BOOM! PENALTY OR MESSI WILL SCORE..SIMPLE!
I DONT HAVE ANY COACHING BADGES OR CERTIFICATES, BUT I WATCH BARCELONA AND THIS IS SIMPLY WHAT THEY DO. COMMON SENSE BALLIN!
MAN U, CHELSEA, REAL MADRID ARE ALL TRYING TO COPY BARCELONA’S STYLE OF PLAY, BUT THEY CANT PERFECT IT.
ITS FUNNY BECAUSE SPAIN PLAYS THE SAME STYLE, AND GUESS WHO BARCELONA AND SPAIN COPIED THIS STYLE FROM? GHANA!
THEY COPIED THIS STYLE FROM GHANA IN WCUP 2006. THE ONLY THING DIFFERENT FROM BARCELONA, SPAIN AND GH SQUAD 2006
IS STRIKING AND GOALS SCORING OPTIONS….WE NEED TO PLAY THE 532 FORMATION IN TOURNAMENTS.
YOU SEE, STRIKERS/attackers win you a match, BUT DEFENDERS win you tournamentS. AA CAN PLAY THE 4321, 442 ETC TO WIN SINGLE GAMES,
BUT IN A TOURNAMENT LIKE THIS. YOU ONLY HAVE A CHANCE IF YOUR DEFENDERS ARE ON POINT.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND PLAYING WITH A PROFESSIONAL MINDSET IS WAT WILL SET US APART FROM THESE OTHER NATIONS.
EVIDENTLY, WE CAN SEE THAT EVERYONE CAN PLAY THE GAME. HOWEVER, IF GBSTARS CAN
    1. SHOW ATTENTION TO DETAIL IN PLAYING THE GAME AS EVIDENCE BY THEIR TACTICS AND STRATEGIES
    2. PLAY THE GAME WITH A PROFESSIONAL MINDSET..THAT IS FOLLOWING MY COACHING TACTICS, LIFTIG WEIGHTS
    3. GBSTAR WILL CONTINUE TO DOMINATE OVER ALL COMPETITIORS!

  5. TRuMPET says:

@GH FUO, THINK BIG!!! We can’t read when u type almost all in UPPERCASE. U might be making a good point but change it for us to read some wai.

    • kiki says:

That’s what I keep on saying to him. It’s really difficult to read and even hurts your eyes. Its like he’s yelling at the readers. He makes some good points in his comments, but I get headaches from trying to read it. I wish he will change it so that we can all read his comments and respond accordingly.

  6. idiami says:

@ghfuo are u a fool why this long comment,go and coach eeeee, watever they do,still dey wil lose

  7. Agenda says:

@ trumpet…..and he’s too long! Massa u’ve bcme tooooooooooo boring!!! Mr Ghana.

  8. GH FUO, THINK BIG!!! says:

    DAUDA, 2.AFFUL, 3.WAKASSO, 4.MENSAH, 5.AWAL, 6.AKAMINKO, 7.ATSU, 8.BADU, 9.RABIU, 10.CLOTTEY 11. KASA…..
BRING GYAN FROM THE BENCH TO USE HIS EXPERIENCE. GIVE THE CAPTAIN TO BADU.

  9. GH FUO, THINK BIG!!! says:

    DAUDA, 2.AFFUL, 3.WAKASSO, 4.MENSAH, 5.AWAL, 6.AKAMINKO, 7.ATSU, 8.BADU, 9.RABIU, 10.CLOTTEY 11. KASA…..
BRING GYAN FROM THE BENCH TO USE HIS EXPERIENCE. GIVE THE CAPTAIN TO BADU.

  10. Chu says:

The team is doing everything for us to be believe they are calm and collected but I know the Soongo fire is burning them and if they don’t know they should flop against Mali, we shall burn’em up
