A first batch of six players underwent a thorough medical examination on Monday ahead of the commencement of Ghana’s preparations towards the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

Blood samples were taken from Solomon Asante, Fatau Dauda, Awal Mohammed, Kwabena Edusei, Harrison Afful and Edwin Gyimah at Metropolis in Accra.

The players also went through Electrocardiogram and Echocardiography tests to check the state of their health – especially their heart condition ahead of the commencement of training and camping for the 2015 AFCON.

This is to ensure that all players in the Ghana camp are in a clean bill of health ahead of their expected rigorous preparations for the 2015 AFCON.

All the other Black Stars player in the country are expected to take their turns with the medical examinations.

The Black Stars will begin non-residential training on Friday in Accra.

The team will then travel to Seville, Spain to begin camping for the tournament which is being staged by Equatorial Guinea.
