By Ameenu Shardow

Sports Minister Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah says the Black Stars needs revamping to ensure qualification to the 2014 World Cup.

The team broke many hearts with their disappointing fourth-place finish at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

Ghana’s President John Mahama has charged the team to qualify and excell at the 2014 World Cup to restore the nation’s pride in the Black Stars.

And sports minister Afriyie-Ankrah believes revamping the team in the face of technical and management challenges is the way forward.

“The team needs to be revamped, there were technical challenges including the penalties,” he told Radio Gold.

“There were also challenges with management. The GFA has presented a report that we are studying.

“At the end of the day, people are interested in the way forward. Qualifying and doing well at the World Cup is the main focus.”

Ghana will resume its campaign in the World Cup quaklifiers next month against Sudan in Kumasi.

      Can you just shut up!! Football is the only sport we are at international level on… In every other sport we are poor. have you forgotten the Olympics?? Very disgraceful for a country with so much athletic ability… Instead of every moron trying to delve into football they should fix the mess in other sports!!

    TO OUR NEW MINISTER OF SPORTS
    =============================

    Dear Mr. Minister, may I say to you that you have come out and said something that had to be said for a long long time. There has been so many occassions that the Ghana Black Stars had flounded and disgraced the nation by its performance at a sub level AFCON and no one from the former Ministers office challenged the Nyantakyi regime or tried to take them to task on it. I might say the the present problem facing our beloved team is due to the stupid FIFA intererence in the sporting affairs of country’s forbidden the government from interfering with the activities of its Football Authorities, by that action had given some football Authorities in country’s especially Ghana led by Nyantakyi to think that they are above the law and could do whatever they wanted with the selection of coaches and players for our national soccer teams. It is time the selection of coaches to the national team is investigated to see if there has been any form of nepotism, cronyism or any action of improprieties.

    In Ghana, we have more qualified coaches, I mean coaches that have won at the world level like Sillas Tetteh and he could not even be in the technical team of the present Ghana Black Stars? We have Kuuku Dadzie, one of the best defenders Ghana had ever produced and he is also not any where around the National team to help build the defense? What about even involving Marcell Desailly to help the national team in any capacity that he could. This is very troubling to say the least and that goes to show that the GFA as it stands today is filled with corruptible elements who are more interested in themselves getting paid, fielding paid players like Asamoah Gyan, Derek Boateng and others whose skills on the pitch we have all come to realize had diminished but yet still get calls to wear the Black Star jerseys.

    This present day management of our beloved Black Stars is a sham or should I say consist of all Nyantakyi’s cronis and ass kissers who have no sports management skills but are there to fill chairs and say yes to everything he says. I am therefore urging you to be above that bunch of parasites and beggars and take actions that will change the face of that group to benefit the honorable citizens of our beloved Ghana who are so proud of their Nationa team, if not then we shall all be watching the world cup from a distance.
