Ghana’s High Commissioner in Kenya has charged the Black Stars to ensure they pick their spot at next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.

H.E. Kingsley Karimu attended the team’s training in Nairobi, Wednesday evening as the team prepared for Saturday’s game against Malawi.

After holding discussions with GFA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi and other executives, he proceeded to meet with the coaching staff led by coach Kwesi Appiah before addressing the Black Stars squad.

“I am impressed with the way you have trained and listened to the guidance offered by the GFA President and his executives as well as your coaches,” H.E. Karimu told the players.

“The people of Ghana are expecting just one thing from you and that is to qualify for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

“You have been given all the support you need to help you attain that goal and we are confident that you will do it.”

The Black Stars will camp in Kenya until Friday when they leave for Lilongwe where the match against the Flames will be played.
