Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom has joined French Ligue 1 side SC Bastia on a six-month loan deal, his former club FC Dnipro have confirmed.

The right-back-cum-winger needs more playing time to revive his international career after warming the bench for the first half of the season.

Inkoom fell out with Dnipro head coach Juande Ramos and dropped down the pecking order.

On Friday morning Inkoom posted on his official Twitter @InkoomSamuel: “I’m moving from Ukraine to France. Hello @s_c_bastia !”

He managed only one appearance for top-flight side before the winter break.

Inkoom’s inactivity cost him a place in Ghana’s squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
