Kwesi Appiah
Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah used the occasion of Ghana’s celebration of its 56th Independence Day to reach out to two orphanages.
The senior men’s national team handler donated food items and detergents to Frankmeyer and Bethseda orphanages in Techiman, in the Brong Ahafo Region of the country.
According to the Black Stars coach, his decision to give to the orphanages was to show appreciation to God for bringing the nation this far.
Member of Parliament for Techiman North Constituency, Hon. Alex Kyeremeh and Mr. Kwadwo Ntim, a member of the Black Meteors management committee donated the items which included rice, packets of soap, sugar, food beverages, fruit drinks, biscuits, cartons of milk, boxes of water and cooking oil on behalf of Kwesi Appiah.
Francis Apus, Director of Frankmeyer Orphanage expressed his appreciation to the Black Stars coach for coming to the aid of the needy.
He said the items have come at a time when the organisation is in dire need of support to care for the children.
