Black Starlets thrash German side Westphalia in Four-nation tourney
Black Starlets beat German side Westphalia 3-0 in Namibia.

Ghana’s U17 made a strong start at the four-nation tournament in Namibia by thumping German side Westphalia 3-0 on Wednesday.

The Black Starlets took the lead on the stroke of halftime through midfielder Henry Medarwus during a fairly balanced first half.

In the second half, Ghana registered two more goals through Kofi Amoakoa and substitute Isass Issah to complete the rout.

In the tournament’s opener between hosts Namibia and South Africa ended in a 1-1 draw.

Ghana will now face Namibia tonight which will be preceded by a duel between South Africa and Westphalia at the Swakopmund Sports Complex in Vineta, Swakopmund.
