Ghana could meet either Kenya or South Sudan in the qualifying in the African U-17 Championship after the Black Starlets skipped the first-round contest.

With the first round qualifiers set for June of this year, the Black Starlets will await the winner of the Kenya versus South Sudan match in the second round stage.

The second-round campaign will be played in July.

And if Paa Kwesi Fabin's side progress from the second-round, they will play either Burkina Faso, Cameroon or the Central African Republic for a place at the finals of the 2015 U-17 Championship to be staged by Niger.

According to CAF, mandatory MRI tests will now be used during the qualifying stages of the African U-17 Championship to ensure the accuracy of the ages of players.

Ghana failed to progress from the Group stage of the 2013 African U17 Championship in Morocco.
