The Black Satellites will play a friendly against Heart of Lions on Thursday

The Black Satellites will engage Heart of Lions in a friendly on Thursday as both teamsĀ prepareĀ for their respective assignments.

Head coach of the national U20 side Maxwell Konadu will use the match to assess his players ahead of the final qualifying lap for the 2013 African Youth Championship qualifier against Morocco.

Lions are also preparing to mount a serious challenge for the Premier League title and the friendly at the Tema Sports Stadium will afford trainer Sarfo Castro another chance to take a second look at his new recruits and those on the fringes.

The Black Satellites must negotiate a two-legged tie against the North African giants to secure qualification to next year’s African Youth Championship to be held in Algeria.

They team will fly out to Tamale on Saturday to step up preparations for the first leg tie on September 22.
