Ghana U20 management committee chairman Winfred Osei is concerned about the team’s dip in form at the on-going African Youth Championship.

The Black Satellites lost 1-0 to Mali on Sunday to finish second in Group B and set up a semi-final clash against rivals Nigeria.

The defeat follows the hard fought come-from-behind 2-1 win over Zambia in the second match last Thursday.

Osei is alarmed by the team’s retrogression ahead of the semi-final clash against the Flying Eagles in Dakar.

“It is quite disturbing especially when you look at the scale of performance you will realize that in the South Africa game we were up there,” Osei told Joy FM.

“Zambia we dipped in form and went down deeper and I’m beginning to question what is actually happening to the team in terms of development because you cannot play so well in your first game and subsequent dip in form

“There will be the need to talk to the technical team to find out the way forward. As it is now I’m not seeing my way clear.”

Ghana are seeking a fourth African Youth Championship title.
