Black Queens captain Mercy Myles expect a tougher challenge for the side as they progress in the 2016 Olympic Games qualifiers.

Ghana secured progress to the final round of qualifiers for next year’s games to be staged in Rio, Brazil after a comprehensive 3-0 win over Egypt on Sunday.

The Black Queens qualified with a 4-1 aggregate scoreline and will now be facing either Cameroon or Guinea in the final qualifier.

Captain Mercy Myles says the team needs to double up its efforts for a tougher challenge in the final round.

“Hard work gave us this win but we need to do more in order to qualify,” she said.

“We expect a tougher challenge in the final round so we need to put in more hard work.”

The Black Queens hope to qualify for the Olympic Games this term after missing out on the last edition in London.
