Black Princesses striker Sherifatu Sumaila won the Player of the Match is Ghana’s 2-1 win over Finland in their final Group A match on Tuesday.

The 18-year-old leveled the scoring at the Moncton Stadium on 71minutes.

She collected a pass from midfielder Fatima Alhassan to draw the Princesses level.

Jennifer Cudjoe scored the match winner four minutes from time but that was not enough to ensure the team progressed from the Group stage.

Sumaila becomes the second Ghanaian player to win that award after goalkeeper Victoria Agyei won it in the 1-0 win over hosts Canada.
