Black Princesses Under-20 midfielder Priscilla Okyere is confident they can go past the group phase of the 2014 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Canada.

Ghana and Korea DPR meet for the first time at a U-20 Women's World Cup in a potentially enthralling encounter.

Both were opening-day winners and have openly stated that they are aiming not merely at the quarter-finals but the trophy itself.

Okyere, a former captain of Ghana’s U17 female team, which clinched bronze in Azerbaijan in 2012, has her eyes firmly fixed on a quarter-final berth.

“Our first target is to go past the group phase and I believe we’re on course,” she said

“Our win over Canada was a positive one and we hope to build on that.

“We want to make our people here and back home happy and so we’ll only ask them to pray for us.

“I am more than confident that we’ll beat Korea and qualify to the next stage of the competition.”

A second victory for any of the sides would do their ambitions no harm at all.
