Ghana will face Liberia in the first round of the Africa U23 Championship qualifying as the Black Meteors seek a place at the 2016 Olympics Games.

The Black Meteors will host the first leg on dates yet to be announced by the Confederation of African Football.

A successful two-legged tie for Ghana will see them play Congo in the second qualifying round.

Should they survive that test too, they will face Nigeria in the final qualifying round which looks like a difficult qualification route for Malik Jabir’s boys.

The second edition of the CAF U23 Cup will be hosted by DR Congo from 5-19 December next year with eight teams.

The top three finishers at the finals will qualify to the 2016 Olympics Games to hosted by the city of Rio de Janeirio.
