Ghana coach Evans Adotey says he has achieved his first target at the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup after beating Korea DPR 2-0 in their opener.

The Black Maidens needed goals from Janet Ayieyam and Sandra Owusu-Ansah to begin their campaign on a winning note.

Adotey, who was on the bench when Ghana won bronze in Azerbaijan two years ago, is delighted with the performance of his boys.

“My first objective was to win the first match against Korea DPR, and the second objective is to qualify for the knockout stage, so now our focus is on our next match against Germany,’’  Adotey said a post-match conference.

“Sometimes we lost our concentration so we need to look at that.

“We had a strategy for both our defence and attack and it worked perfectly.”

Please, you write for the public read and learn. Small mistakes like “Ghana coach Evans Adotey says he is achieved his first target ” I guess you know the sentence is wrong.
Also “Adotey, who was on the bench when Ghana won bronze in Azerbaijan two years ago, is delighted with the performance of his boys.” Is girls not boys.

    Thanks.

Yes you have indeed won your first match which is good point to start but I must say I was not impressed with our performance. Your team was finding it difficult to string their passes together. I could also not see any pattern in their play or see players running into spaces for passes. The Koreans looks more purposeful than us but we probably won because we used over age players. I could see some of the girls being in their early twenties, especially our defenders. We were just lucky to have won that match. If we meet any stiffer opposition we can lose not less than four goals with this kind of play. All I could see you do was just shouting on the girls which is good but did not see that translate into their game.

Papa USA, Alfredo’s grammatical error is not nearly as bad as the writer’s flagrant gender swap, not even close! It is shameful to post something like that for the world to read.
