Andre Ayew believes Ghana are a cut above their World Cup playoff opponents Egypt ahead of Tuesday’s first leg tie.
The Olympique Marseille winger is confident the Black Stars will be victorious on 15 October if they put up a good showcase.
Ayew believes the Black Stars can replicate the 3-0 pre-Africa Cup of Nations friendly win in January at the Baba Yara Stadium.
“You know we are the better side and we are the team which are favourites against Egypt so if we play our football well and everyone is in shape we won’t have a problem,” the 23-year-old is quoted by citifmonline.com
“It will be a difficult game and we know what the Egyptians are capable of doing but I believe we are playing in front of our home crowd.
“What is important is that Ghana gets to the World cup so at the end of whatever happens in Kumasi on Tuesday; we should know it’s not the end.
“It’s a two game affair and we will be prepared for it.”
