Turkish side Besiktas are set to hold transfer talks with Portuguese side FC Porto over the possibility of signing Daniel Opare on a permanent basis.

According to DHA, the Black Eagles are reported to have an undisclosed buyout clause option.

The Ghana international has established himself as a fan favourite in a short space of time and manager Slaven Bilic has given the board the green light to go ahead with the transfer talks.

The versatile full-back was a star performer in Besiktas’ victory over Liverpool in Europa League Round of 32.

Opare, who joined the club in January on a six-month loan, has been assertive.

He recently picked up a hamstring injury forcing him to miss the Istanbul derby against Fenerbahce, the mini Istanbul derby against Basaksehir and the 5-1 win over Kasimpasa on the weekend.
