Former Hearts icon Bernard Don Boartey says he is anticipating a keenly contested encounter which will be defined by fine margins when Hearts take on Esperance.

The 2000 continental conquerors have been served a mouthwatering tie against familiar foes Espernace of Tunis.

The jury is still out on the Phobians despite being just a step away from making the Group Stages of the CAF Confederations Cup.

Esperance themselves haven’t fared any better since winning the CAF Champions League in 2011.

Hearts will be seeking to banish recent disappointments and put a smile on the face of their teeming supporters whiles Esperance will be looking to make up for the damaging defeat to Sudanese side El Merreikh in the CAF Champions league.

Don Boartey a proud member of the “never again 64 battalion” says that he is expecting a keenly contested encounter.

“Football is strange and a lot of details will determine the outcome at the end of the day but I expect it to be close,” The Panthers FC man told Citi FM

‘”Hearts have done well to get to stage and I feel they will be up for this one too. I have read a lot concerning this game but for me little margins will define this.”

Quizzed on the next path for his career the 31 year old said he was still looking out for a club that matches his ambition.

“I am still training and I am looking forward to signing for a club who will match what I want.”
