Two unnamed friends of Berekum Chelsea President Emmanuel Kyeremeh have donated an electronic scoreboard for use at the Golden City Park.

The gesture was a compliment to a massive stadium upgrading project embarked upon by the Berekum Community as their contribution to club's CAF Champions League campaign.

The Golden City Park after the facelift will have a state of the art electronic board and a proper flood lighting system installed just in time for the commencement of the Group Stage in July.

"The Berekum people acquired some equipment for the massive facelift of the stadium," Berekum Chelsea's PRO Isaac Amponsah told Kumasi-based Angel FM.

"Their efforts are however being complimented by the donation of an electronic scoreboard by two overseas friends of the President (Emmanuel Kyeremeh).

"It is not for the sole use of Chelsea but for the whole Berekum people who so wish to use the Golden City Park."

Chelsea became the first Ghanaian side in six years to make it this far in the premier African club competition.

They will open their group account at home to TP Mazembe on the weekend of the 14th, 15th and 16th July.
