Berekum Chelsea winger Asante has praise for team-mates

Posted On Monday, 12th November 2012

Solomon Asante has praised his team-mates contributions to his form

Exciting Berekum Chelsea winger Solomon Asante is counting the contributions of his team-mates to his fine form in the Ghanaian Premier League.

The 22-year-old dribbling magician has claimed four man-of-the-match awards in seven games and scored the opener for the Blues in their 2-1 win over New Edubiase United at the Golden City Park last Saturday.

He is expected to join English Premiership side Stoke City on a two-month trials after Tony Pulis’ side monitored his performance in the Caf Champions League.

The pocket-size wing-wizard says he owes much of his success on the pitch to his team-mates.

“Football is a collective game and when I get on the pitch mostly I try to work with my team-mates as much as I can and they also make great contributions to my performance,” Asante told Ghanasoccernet.com

He is in the Ghana squad that play Cape Verde in an international friendly in Lisbon on Wednesday.

There is No doubt abt his Talent-he’s very xciting… BUT u don’t pick Trialist ahead of establishers like Quincy whose Talent is immeasurable. The BS team is not an Xhibition stage to Market playerz 4 self gains, but is a team dat assembles its best fighters (talents) to Defend n bring Honour to its Nation thru a sports called Football.
Quincy opted to play for Gh out of Luv n not out of Anything! If we want to see Memphis Depay, Edwin Gyasi , Karim Bellarabi n etc play for this Nation, den we must stop the injustice against Quincy. I heard frm a very reliable source dat Coach AA always Opposed decisions of calling-up Abeyie. It is alleged dat he was behind d Axing of Quincy in the recent Gabon Afcon squad so dat he cld pave way 4 inkoom to play at the no. 7 position. He always wanted him out since his days as an Assistant to his Serbian Bossess.

We understand he is using his links wit the Media to cover up any doubts circling his Job. That is why there is always a Campaign of ‘Support’ frm the media even wen things goes Bad…it is the reason they refuse to critisize him wen d need be! I just keep wondering the direction our futball is heading towards. Corrupt and Cycophantic personnels r dominating our futball- they r the passion killers… The Black Taliban’s of Gh soccer
