Berekum Chelsea striker Latif Salifu has set a target to succeed Mahatma Otoo as Ghana Premier League top scorer.
Salifu was his club’s top scorer for last season after netting six goals.
The former Ghana U20 player has won over the Golden City Park faithful with his pace, intelligent moves and sultry skills.
“As a striker I want to score more goals for my club and win the Goal King award.I pray to be always fit in the new season,” Salifu told GHANAsoccernet.com
” You never know what will happen but we hope things go well.
The former Liberty Professionals attacker missed nine games in the second round of last season and he admits he would have increased his tally had he stayed fit
“I did not play some nine matches due to injury and I am very sure I could have scored more goals If I had been around to add to the six I had already,” he lamented.
“But as I said you never know what will happen. God knows best.”
