Berekum Chelsea secured a historic qualification into the Group stage of the CAF Champions League by defeating Coton Sport 2-1 in Garoua on Sunday.
The first leg ended 0-0 in Berekum two weeks ago.
Striker Emmanuel Clottey and captain Abdul Basit put Chelsea 2-0 up before Coton Sport pulled one back.
The Blues will become the first Ghanaian club to play in the Group stage of the continent’s flagship event since 2006.
Chelsea will be US$ 400,000 richer for the feat.
Well done guys u deserve it.But the pick price is ahead of u.God be with u
Amazing! What a wonderful sunday!!
Now GFA will try has failed after not supporting the team, how on eath ii you still owe a team that needs money going to the next round of this competition. G8 money still not paid and the promise made to them last week has not been paid, now that they are in the money zone is where gfa will try to make ppl see they supported them thru, dats bullshit since its not kotoko or hearts. jealousy/skin pain ii kill some gfa members.
Wow, this is a good news. Thanks be to God. Well done boys. Ghana is proud of you. You can also achieve the feat of Hearts of Oak. Congrats
charle make Ghana proud

u guys force.
I never expected them to qualify afar they drew in GH.
But it seems dey re da Blues of Africa.
Yeah they pruf dat they’r de champions in de last year league, showin dat it was competitive unlike dis yr where a club has won de league while is stil remainin 4 march to play shows dat dis yr league is not competitive at all n i wonder how dey wil manage to play in de nest chmpns league without complainin about de weather,de wind n so 4th,congrt chelsea de nation is behind u guys,i still wonder.
a lesson that shows why 0-0 away legs are dangerous. cotton sports could had won it here but were mislead by tactics
Cngrt b.chelsea 4 mkn ma sunday,am reli praud of u guys.
I’m very surprised! waaaaaaaaaaaaoow!!!
well done,,,congrats,,no ba ga wire
the danger of drawing goaless away. cotton sports had an archaic tactic. ghana football is never dead.
We watch UEFA even on local tv but can’t açcess a less magnitude of african champs league close by, gfa wake up
This is not a GFA problem. It’s a problem with CAF. The qualifying matches of the CAF champions league are usually not telecast live. I hope we get to watch the group matches.
Congrats to Berekum Chelsea for qualifying to the money zone now go for the trophy
Congrat guys. U ve really made us proud. Shame be onto GFA for their skin pain. But it will be better if the name is change from chelsea as the world will now recognize u. God be with YOU.
