Berekum Chelsea on red alert over Eric Bekoe

Berekum Chelsea could give Eric Bekoe a lifeline

By Patrick Akoto

Berekum Chelsea have been put on red alert after Eric Bekoe’s move to Kotoko fell through.

The 25-year-old striker saw his move to his boyhood club collapsed on the eleventh hour over contractural disagreements.

The former Heart of Lions and Liberty Professionals man is racing against time to find a club before the transfer window shut on Friday.

The 2010 Ghanaian champions are understood to be interested in the services of the goal machine and could pounce to give him a lifeline.

Bekoe’s career has been wrecked by recurrent injuries over the past three years at Petroject and is desperate to return to the top.

He shot to prominence after he bagged  42 goals in all competitions for Kotoko in 2008.
