Berekum Chelsea fire blank against Coton Sport

Berekum Chelsea were held to a 0-0 draw by Coton Sport at home in the CAF Champions League final qualifying round first leg tie on Sunday.

The Ghanaian champions were frustrated by the defensive game plan hatched by Coton Sport’s French coach Robert Boivon.

Striker Emmanuel Clottey had two opportunities in the first half but he looked jaded and mis-fired such to the surprise of the fans.

The best chance fell to diminutive Solomon Asante who wriggled his way into the box but skied the perfect opportunity.

Chelsea face a daunting task to qualify to the money zone of the competition in the second leg in a fortnight.

0-0 home draw is not a death sentence if the away goal rule applies. Manage a scoring draw away and you advance. They’ll open up this time, so just take your chances.

  7. jockey(nigeria) says:

coton sport win deal with berekum in garuoa, berekum have throw away their chances, and is time for coton sport.coton sport eliminated mighty dolphins of port on away goal rule.with dolphin winning the first leg 2-1 in portharcourt.and coton sport winning the return leg at home 1-0.i will advise berekum chelsea not to use any facility of coton sport e.g training pitch, food, accomodation.because they are very dangerous.almost 6 dolphin stars have flu before the match day ,and they were run out.berekum should move to garuoa with a direct flight, not going their to stay some days.

Jockey thanks alot i wish the publisher extend the info to them.
