Chelsea will not sign any player to replace departing Solomon Asante

Berekum Chelsea will not be making any new signings despite the imminent departures of key players in January.
Winger Solomon Asante and defender Richard Kissi-Boateng are set to join DR Congo giants TP Mazembe while goalkeeper Ernest Sowah and Ibrahim Issaka are also believed to be on their way to Don Bosco also in the DRC.
The quartet will join Emmanuel Clottey and Gladson Awako as other prominent players to have left the side after Chelsea’s impressive debut campaign in the CAF Champions League.
These departures have left gaping holes to be filled in the side but assistant coach Annoh Walker insists they have enough to deal with the massive exodus.
“We will be losing some players such as Solomon Asante and Kissi-Boateng,” he said.
“We however have for every position two players so I don’t think we will be making any signings now.
“We have not requested for any player as at now but maybe management in their wisdom will like to add to the squad but for us the technical team we have made no such requests.”
Chelsea are currently third in the Ghanaian top flight haven won seven, drawn three and lost four in the fourteen games played so far.
They next travel to take on AshantiGold in the final game of the first round on Sunday.
