Berekum Chelsea are out of the CAF Champions League

Berekum Chelsea crashed out of the CAF Champions League following a 2-0 defeat to Al Ahly Benghazi on Sunday.

The Blues suffered the defeat in the game played in Tunisia due to political unrest in Libya.

Al Ahly progressed to the next stage of the competition with a 3-1 aggregate scoreline after drawing 1-1 with the former Ghanaian champions in the first leg.

The Blues’ exit now leaves Ghana with no representation in this season’s CAF Champions League following the earlier exit of Asante Kotoko.
