Berekum Chelsea captain Basit touts title credentials

Posted On Thursday, 11th October 2012

Abdul Basit has spoken about Berekum Chelsea superiority in the Ghana Premier League

Berekum Chelsea captain Abdul Basit believes his side are head and shoulders above all the other teams in the Ghana Premier League.

The Blues were off to a flying start to their campaign with a 2-0 home win against Heart of Lions on Sunday.

The 2011 champions are looking to build on this win by picking all vital points in their quest to reclaim the Premier League title this term.

Basit feels his team is 50% ahead of every team they play in the top flight.

“The win (over Heart of Lions) for me is normal because I believe we are always 50% ahead of all the Premier League teams,” he told Kumasi-based Angel FM.

“It is only up to us to keep our concentration throughout the game for a win because this has proven very crucial in games.

“The team we have assembled here is very strong and I don’t believe any side can match us but we have to always show our superiority on the field of play.”

Chelsea next travel to take on in-form Aduana Stars in Dormaa on Sunday in a derby.

Massa jux shut up, your team is average with bunch of dead horses. You can never win the league again, the big guns (Hearts & Kotoko) are back again and we gonna continue dominating the GH league as we used to do before .

  2. KT says:

Well I personally think they are the team to beat this season. They can win the title.
