Berekum Chelseaââ¬â¢s Chief Executive Officer Nana Kwame Nketiah has declared the club will not compete in this seasonââ¬â¢s Ghana Premier League.
The start of the Ghanaian top flight has been delayed due to a court case against the Ghana FA by the relegated King Faisal.
The 2014/15 First Capital Plus League season which was originally set to commence back in October has been delayed as a result of the protracted court case.
An Accra High Court ruled on Monday that it will go ahead to hear King Faisalââ¬â¢s application against the GFA â⬓ meaning the Ghanaian top flight will be further delayed.
Chelseaââ¬â¢s Chief Executive Officer Nana Kwame Nketiah says his club have pulled out from the league which is yet to start due to the little time left to complete the season.
ââ¬ÅMy club will not play the league this season, it is impossible to organize the league,â⬠he told Hot FM.
ââ¬ÅThe verdict [court case of King Faisal] is due on Monday, December 8 and then when are we go to congress?
ââ¬ÅThen there is the African Cup in January so I donââ¬â¢t see how we are going to play the league.
