Berekum Chelsea beat Amidaus in Tema to avenge first round defeat

Posted On Sunday, 3rd March 2013

Abdul Basit

Berekum Chelsea captain Mohammed Abdul Basit marked his return from injury in the 1-0 win at Amidaus Professionals on Saturday in the Ghana top-flight.

Basit scored in the 67th minute after coming on as a substitute in the second half.

It was sweet victory for the 2011 champions who lost by the same scoreline at the Golden City Park in the first round.

Amidaus Professionals failed to build on last week’s 3-1 win at the Baba Yara Stadium against Real Tamale United.

Berekum Chelsea moved temporarily to second place while debutants Amidaus Professionals lost their fourth place spot.
